Alan Wise is the North American leader of Boston Consulting Group’s Travel and Tourism practice area. During his 17 years at BCG, he has worked for clients across Travel and Tourism sectors including airlines (network, low cost and cargo), hotels, cruise lines and aerospace OEMs. His extensive travel and tourism experience includes: A series of strategy development efforts for multiple airlines airlines ranging from strategic business model review, M&A analysis, network strategy, and operational improvements to redesign of customer loyalty programs. Additionally, he has led major operations transformation programs (including flight, ground and customers service operations) and he has directed commercial change programs (network, product, frequent flier program, alliances) across a number of the world’s largest airlines. He e drove the development of a comprehensive turnaround plan for a global airline and has supported the successful takeover defense of a global airline. While much of his time has been spent in the airline industry, his travel and tourism experience extends to lodging, cruise lines and travel distribution as well. He has executed strategy development for loyalty programs in airlines, lodging and cruise lines, and has evaluated growth and new business opportunities for a leading global airplane manufacturer. Additionally, he has developed growth strategies for global lodging groups.
Alan Wise earned an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and a BA from Duke University. He resides in Atlanta with his wife and two children.
