In collaboration with our research partner, Georgia State University, the symposium will explore the findings of the LGBT Institute Southern Survey and lessons learned. Attendees will also have the opportunity to develop future strategies for survey outreach and design.
This interactive symposium will be an ideal time for networking among academics and advocates, helping enhance coordination and communication to maximize impact.

Presentations will explore: the dynamics and systems operating in relation to the three focus areas of the survey results; the individuals and communities least likely to have access to needed resources and most vulnerable to harm; and determining ways to tell the stories of LGBTQ Southerners that have not been told.
