This program aired Friday, June 26, 2020 @ 12 EST

The recent murders of unarmed black men and women, including Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, and here in Atlanta, Rayshard Brooks, and the frustration felt in communities of color regarding police violence around black people has led to not just calls for justice and prosecution of police officers, but calls to defund and abolish the police.

This program explored the history of policing, how public opinion of the police is changing and what defunding the police actual means, and how this would affect our communities.
