“Act Now: Responding to Discrimination in the Classroom and Next Steps” is a professional development opportunity for educators created to develop empathy and responsiveness to discrimination in the classroom and workplace. During this two-hour interactive program session, participants will learn incident management skills while having an opportunity to practice implementing them. Participants will also be able to discuss and brainstorm bystander interventions and effective advocacy within their respective schools and communities. On October 20, the program will run two times, allowing participants to sign up for the morning or afternoon session. To attend, please register by October 11.
The same workshop will be presented twice in the same day. There will be a morning session, 9AM-11AM, and an afternoon session, 12PM-2PM. Food will be served 30 minutes before each session. You can register for either session through the link provided.
