Brett Jewkes serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Brand and Communications Officer of the Blank Family of Businesses (BFOB) / AMB Sports & Entertainment and is part of the BFOB executive leadership committee, providing strategic communications counsel to Founder and Chairman, Arthur M. Blank, Chief Executive Officer, CEO Steve Cannon, and the leaders of each business and the foundation.
Since joining BFOB in 2015, Brett has led the development of internal and external communications strategies across the BFOB portfolio, which includes the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta United of MLS; Mercedes-Benz Stadium, PGA TOUR Superstore, Mountain Sky Guest Ranch, West Creek Ranch, Paradise Valley Ranch, and the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation. Brett works closely with senior management in each respective business to drive brand positioning, develop business-building reputation initiatives and manage each business’s communications activities. He also has oversight responsibility for AMB Sports + Entertainment (AMBSE) Media Group which encompasses the digital and social media teams for the Falcons and Mercedes-Benz Stadium, as well as Community Relations teams for the Falcons, Atlanta United and PGA TOUR Superstore.
Prior to joining the Blank Family of Businesses, Brett was on the management team at NASCAR, serving as senior vice president and chief communications officer for five seasons. At NASCAR Brett provided strategic counsel to the executive leadership team, led company-wide communications planning and oversaw the day-to-day activities of the Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) department. In addition, Brett oversaw NASCAR’s relationship with the operators of the NASCAR Hall of Fame and served as a NASCAR representative on the industry’s Manufacturer and Driver councils. Brett was recruited to NASCAR in 2011 to revamp the sanctioning body’s communications operation and implement strategic communications planning across NASCAR’s global business. Four years after his arrival, PRWeek named NASCAR IMC its 2014 In-House Team of the Year based on voting by a panel of industry experts.
Before joining NASCAR, Brett was a managing partner at New York-based Taylor Global, Inc., a leading marketing communications agency serving some of the world’s largest brands. He opened Taylor’s offices in Charlotte and Chicago and led the agency’s client engagements for NASCAR beginning in late 2000, as well as other sports and non-sports brands during his 12 years at the agency, including Allstate, Kimberly-Clark, Spalding, Merck, Inc., and many others. Before joining Taylor, Brett was a senior associate at communications consultancy, Coltrin & Associates, in New York and prior to that served for four years as the director of athletic media relations at Southern Utah University.
Brett holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Jewkes and his wife Melissa have three children; Stockton, Mason, and Mallory and reside in metro Atlanta.
